Chief Don Dougherty is a retired Parkersburg Police Officer. Don Dougherty was awarded his B.S. degree in Criminal Justice from Marshall University and his M.S. degree in Safety Management from West Virginia University. Don retired from the Parkersburg Police Department after 20-years service as a Lieutenant with experience related to patrol operations and investigations. During his tenure with the police department he supervised both patrol officers and detectives. Don was highly regarded as an investigator on the Parkersburg Narcotics Task Force.
