Executive Officer Rick Woodyard, Captain is a thirty one year member with the Wood County Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Division. Captain Woodyard was awarded his Board of Regents degree from Glenville State College and his M.S degree in Strategic Leadership in Management from Mountain State University- Beckley; he is also a graduate of the FBI/National Academy and the DEA/ Drug Unit Commanders Academy. Captain Woodyard is a member of the department’s aviation unit as a pilot, underwater search and recovery team, and SWAT team. He is a former eleven year member of the Parkersburg Narcotics Task Force were he served as the units supervisor.
